Commitment to sustainability

Desde sus inicios, Paco & Lola ha apostado por una producción sostenible llevando a cabo una gestión integrada del cultivo de la vid. Para ello se apoya en dos pilares fundamentales: la protección del medio ambiente y el desarrollo de productos más naturales y saludables. Esto supone un plus en cuanto a sostenibilidad y respeto al Medio Ambiente.

It is based on two fundamental principles: the protection of the environment and the development of more natural and healthy products. This represents a plus in terms of sustainability and respect for the Environment.
This year we have embarked on two new projects aimed at sustainable management and the production of quality and healthy wines.

GESVIÑA

GESVIÑA, is based on the sustainable management of the Atlantic vineyard through the reduction of phytosanitary products. The group covers the regions of Galicia, Asturias and the Basque Country. It is coordinated by our cooperative and includes the Galician Institute of Food Quality (INGACAL – EVEGA), NEIKER Basque Institute of Agricultural Research and Development SA, the Regional Service of Agrifood Research and Development of the Principality of Asturias (SERIDA), the  Quality Wine Association of Cangas (Cangas Denomination of Origin) and Company-Galician University Foundation (FEUGA). SALUVINO

SALUVINO trabajará en la sustitución del sulfuroso en el vino por compuestos fenólicos de fuentes alternativas. Este grupo está coordinado por la Bodega Matarromera y comprende las comunidades de Galicia, Castilla-León y La Rioja.

SALUVINO will work on the replacement of sulfur in wine with phenolic compounds from alternative sources. This group is coordinated by the Matarromera Winery and includes the communities of Galicia, Castilla-León and La Rioja.
The supra-autonomous operating group covers the regions of Galicia, Castilla-León and La Rioja. It is coordinated by the company Bodega Matarromera S.L. and Paco & Lola, Orujos y Licores Augavella S.L. and the Company-Galician University Foundation (FEUGA). SALUVINO also has the support of the Group of Industrial Biotechnology and Environmental Engineering (BiotecnIA) of the University of Vigo, which acts as a collaborating member.
