PACO & LOLA PRIME ORIXE. One vision. Three micro-vinifications. One PRIME.
Paco & Lola PRIME is not just an award-winning wine. It is the result of an approach to winemaking rooted in experimentation, precision, and technical craftsmanship. After being recognized in 2025 as Spain’s Best White Wine and receiving the Gold Medal at the IWSC in London—which paved the way for Paco & Lola to be recognized as the World’s Best White Wine Producer—the Meaño-based cooperative has decided to go one step further and reveal what normally remains hidden: the creative and oenological process that gives rise to PRIME.
Under the concept ‘Paco & Lola Orixe,’ the umbrella under which the winery conducts its experiments, Paco & Lola opens its lab notebook to reveal the true complexity of a wine born from a combination uncommon in the industry: the blending of three independent micro-vinifications on lees, processed separately and assembled with a common goal: to achieve the maximum expression of Albariño through innovation.

Three winemaking processes, one destination: PRIME
The unique character of Paco & Lola PRIME on lees is shaped by three winemaking approaches:
- Microvinification in stainless steel, which brings precision, tension, and a floral aromatic purity.
- Microvinification in foudre, responsible for the structure, depth, and silkiness.
- Microvinification in granite eggs, key to the wine’s minerality and natural integration.
Three techniques, three stages, three materials. All converge in a final blend that does not seek individual prominence, but rather balance, sophistication, and coherence.

When Technique Becomes a Story
With this project, Paco & Lola not only showcases the technical origins of PRIME but also transforms them into a brand story. Each microvinification results in a limited-edition release with its own distinct identity, conceived as a study and advanced tasting sample for Masters of Wine, sommeliers, and industry influencers.
This project establishes Paco & Lola PRIME as more than just an award-winning wine: a technical benchmark, a wine where intuition and experimentation go hand in hand. A white wine that demonstrates that the future of wine lies in daring to break with convention, innovate, reinterpret, and make bold decisions.
Because PRIME isn’t a coincidence.
It’s intuition.
It’s vision.
It’s method.
It’s the result of a period of experimentation that, until now, remained a secret.
From its origins to the international stage
The first public presentation of Paco & Lola Prime Orixe also took place in a particularly significant setting. The project was unveiled to the world in Tokyo, where the MW Kenichi Ohashi has organized a masterclass for more than 100 sommeliers from Japan: “Exploring the diverse expressions of terroir and winemaking styles of Albariño.” During the event, the MW Dirceu Vianna Junior and Sommelier Okoshi Motohiro were tasked with unraveling the winemaking process behind Paco & Lola Prime. To do so, they tasted the three vintages separately, as part of a very limited edition intended solely for educational purposes and not available for sale.
This presentation not only marks the launch of the project but also reinforces the global reach of Paco & Lola PRIME, recognized as Spain’s Best White Wine of 2025, and of a winery that has gained international acclaim after being named the World’s Best White Wine Producer by the IWSC in London. For the winery, the fact that wines born from the Albariño vines of Rías Baixas have made their way to Japan confirms that the quiet work carried out in the vineyard and the winery can resonate far beyond their place of origin.
From Galicia to Japan, PRIME demonstrates that innovation and respect for origin can speak a universal language.

The Paco & Lola Prime Orixe Collection
These studio pieces are not for sale, as they have been designed for training sessions and technical tastings. They form part of an indivisible narrative: it is the collection as a whole that allows one to understand the origin, method, and vision that define PRIME. Taken in isolation, each piece would lose its conceptual meaning.
Paco & Lola Orixe is not simply a collection of wines, but a tool
for deciphering PRIME from its ORIGIN.
For those who have not yet discovered Paco & Lola PRIME, you can find it in our online store.
