Paco & Lola awarded best Galicia White Wine

Paco & Lola awarded Best Galicia White Wine

July 11, 2017

Paco & Lola awarded Galicia’s Best White Wine during the XXIX Wine Tasting of Galicia.

It is always with great pride that we receive prizes, especially when they are awarded in our region and by the people of our region. At Paco & Lola we would like to thank the Regional Ministry of Rural Affairs and the Regulatory Councils for all the work they have been doing throughout the editions of the Galician Wine Tasting.

To receive a prize like this two months after the 10 year inauguration of our facilities is more than rewarding. Especially when considering beyond what this prize means.

First of all, I would like to thank the jury of 12 experts who during their blind tastings determined to honor us with the award for Best White Wine of Galicia. This is what most encourages us to continue to improve, because we understand the high quality that the wines of the five Denomination of Origin presented to the contest.

Second, this is a recognition of the more than four hundred small winemakers who one day decided to join their efforts in the interest of obtaining something that alone, they would not have been able to achieve. We encourage our winemakers to follow the path that we decided to take: a commitment to the quality of the raw material. The base of a great wine is a grape in optimal conditions.

What about the team?
Always willing to exceed their own expectations: the Department of Viticulture contributing to the awareness of the winemakers and the commitment to quality; The Department of Oenology and Production preserving quality standards in wine; The Quality Department that coordinated the entire team to repeat the highest grades from the international certifications of Quality: an AA rating from the BRC certification (Paco & Lola being the only Galician winery with that rating) and  the Higher Level certification from the IFS standard during 2017; The Commercial and Marketing Departments who are able to take our wines to more than 40 countries bringing a distribution of wealth in our region and finally the Department of Administration without their quiet work in the background none of this this would be possible.

Finally, we do not want to forget those who make this all possible, those who are our reason to exist and to continue to improve, those who give us their support day after day, those whom we hope will have the same brightness in their eyes when they open a bottle of Paco & Lola and will continue to accompany us as part of the whole Paco & Lola.

Thank you very much!
