European EUREKA Program, CDTI Funding
IBERVITIS is an international technological cooperation project developed within the framework of the Multilateral Cooperation Program EUREKA, in which Spanish and Portuguese companies participate with the aim of promoting the polyclonal selection methodology in vineyards of the Iberian Peninsula using seven key grape varieties from Spain and Portugal, including Albariño, Arinto, Godello, Sercial, Rabo de Ovelha, Rufete, and Tempranillo.
The consortium leading this project consists of the Spanish entities Bodegas La Horra (coordinator), Bodega Paco & Lola, and Bodega Numanthia, as well as the Portuguese winery group Sogrape and the Portuguese Association for Vine Conservation (PORVID). Additionally, it has the support and collaboration of the Higher Institute of Agronomy at the University of Lisbon. The project is expected to last 36 months. It has a total budget of €904,903, co-financed by the European Union and the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI Innovación) with FEDER funds, through the Multiregional Smart Growth Operational Program 2021-2027.
